The Embodied Teacher, designed to be aligned with the standards of Yoga Alliance, is a 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training rooted in mindful movement, self-study, community, and embodied living. This training is designed not only to prepare you to teach yoga, but to deepen your relationship with yourself, your practice, and the way you move through the world.
At So Hum Yoga Studio, we believe yoga is something lived — not performed. This training emphasizes authenticity over perfection, curiosity over rigidity, and connection over performance. Through an integrative approach to movement, philosophy, anatomy, energetics, sequencing, meditation, breathwork, and teaching methodology, trainees will develop both the practical skills and inner confidence necessary to lead meaningful classes and hold space for others.
Together we will explore:
Vinyasa yoga methodology and intelligent sequencing
Functional anatomy, biomechanics, and nervous system awareness
Breathwork, meditation, and energetic practices
Yoga philosophy and yogic lifestyle
Trauma-aware and inclusive teaching principles
The art of cueing, assisting, and holding space
Personal practice development and self-inquiry
Finding your authentic voice as a teacher
This training is open to aspiring teachers as well as dedicated students seeking personal growth and a deeper understanding of yoga beyond the physical practice. No perfect poses required — just a willingness to learn, grow, reflect, and show up.
The Embodied Teacher is intentionally community-centered and grounded in the belief that yoga should be accessible, inclusive, and deeply human. Expect meaningful conversation, laughter, challenge, support, transformation, and connection along the way.
