Long before yoga asked anything of the body, it asked something of the heart. The Yamas and Niyamas are yoga's original teachings — ten simple, searching guidelines for how we treat others and how we treat ourselves and our environment. In this four-hour gathering, we'll move slowly through each one: not as rules to follow, but as questions to sit with. Where am I honest? Where do I hold on too tightly? Where can I soften?
Expect discussion, reflection, gentle movement, and space to simply listen. You'll leave with a book to keep exploring at home, and a little more clarity about the practice that lives off the mat. Light refreshments will be served.
